Electronic Graphics and Computer Music

This is a small animation i did as a personal project. It is now released under a CreativeCommons license 3.0.

Here you can download all the files used, including the Blend file, textures and soundtrack.

The project contains 7 scenes but only 5 are used for rendering the final output, the other 2 extra scenes are the fluid simulation scenes which have been rendered as a PNG sequence and then fed into the compositor.

Scenes and elements :

1- Main scene :

  1.  Trees
  2.  Earth
  3.  Camera and camera path
  4.  Leaves and its particle emitter
  5.  Wind forcefield affecting the leaves
  6.  Airplane and airplane path
  7.  *This scene also contains the final composite

Notes :

  • To see the leaves you have to press the Bake button particles tab in the particle emitter.
  • The sky pass is disabled so it renders the background as transparent alpha

2- Birds scene :

  1. Birds and its particle emitter
  2. Earth
  3. Camera and camera path
  4. Force field affecting the birds preventing them from crashing with the earth

Notes :

  • To see the birds you have to press the Bake button in the particles tab from the particle emitter
  • The sky pass is disabled so it renders the background as transparent alpha

3- Paper overlay scene :

  1. contains a plane with a paper texture to be used as an overlay in the composite

4- Sky scene :

  1. Camera and camera path
  2. Sky with stars

5- Text animation scene :

  1. Text
  2. Camera
  3. Empty controlling the text texture offset

Notes :

  • The sky pass is disables so it renders the background as transparent alpha

Scenes 6 and 7 contain a fluid object and a domain each scene, you have to press the Bake button on the correspondent domain of each scene to see the actual fluid simulation.
